WORKSHOP ON ACHIEVING TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT, TQM, THROUGH AN EFFECTIVE SUPPLY CHAIN NETWORK
The increasingly wider operating environment open to businesses and direct consumers, has led to the ordering for products, resources or materials, to be based on specific time frames and delivery arrangements, including specific packaging arrangements in some cases. This phenomenon has therefore compelled logistics firms to start re-engineering their processes in order to meet up with the challenges posed and ensure higher customer satisfaction. It has further led organizations into fashioning their unique supply chain networks that best suits their unique business environment.
The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, CILT has in its Programme Calendar of this year slated the handling of the above concern to enable logistics firms, understand the dynamics in logistics and learn how to develop their own supply chain networks that will enhance their business environment and result in higher net worth. The event is scheduled as a One Day Seminar on the options in Supply Chain Networks and in developing sustainable logistics support firms, based on firm’s operating capacity, market and unique competencies that will help add value to their operations.
