2014 AFRICA FORUM – GHANA
The Africa Forum of the Institute has come to stay. It has become an annual event, holding in different African countries from year to year. It is usually an assemblage of stakeholders and practitioners in Logistics and Transport and a veritable channel for the cross fertilization of professional ideas. It provides an auspicious avenue for networking that yields on-the-spot advantageous edges for participants. The Africa Forum is a platform created for Africa member countries of the CILT to discuss Transport and Logistics issues peculiar to the African continent, and the globe at large. There shall be success show cases from different nations to exhibit the success of the Institute in their countries.
The apt theme of the next Africa Forum of the Institute is: “Reverse Logistics: the untapped potential for corporate competitive advantage.” It will be hosted by CILT Ghana in March, 2014. The event willintroduce innovations and new global best practices in Logistics and Transport.Ghana is a welcoming and hospitable nation with numerous tourist attractions and pleasurable places of leisure. The nationals are human development lovers who take pride in building capacities and competencies. The 6th of March, 2014 is the 57th Independence anniversary of the Republic of Ghana. Incidentally, it coincides with the grand finale of the conference. Accordingly, to add flavor to the forum, the date has been scheduled for knowledge impacting visitations. To this end, and coupled with the close proximity of the 2014 Africa Forum host country, members and team of the CILT, Nigeria are hereby encouraged to consider attending in full the 2014 forum scheduled for March 3 – 6, 2014 in Accra.
CILT NIGERIA IS NOW A TERRITORY
The expansion of the frontiers of CILT, Nigeria has begun with the breaking news in the CILT world of Nigeria’s recent endorsement as a territory by the President and the Council of Trustees, CILT International. The good news that CILT, Nigeria, will start operating as a Territory from January 1, 2014 was broken by the Secretary General on December 3, 2013. This means that CILT Nigeria will on January 1, 2014, join the league of CILT Territories worldwide.
